4 days. 2 countries. 3 completely different cities. Sounds like quite a challenge, right? Why did I go there? Let's see what happens on this crazy trip!
In the beginning of this story my friend asked me where he should go in Europe. I told him, you know, I think for you it will be best to visit small city in Netherlands - Kortrijk. It's a city full of the kindness people and it's pieceful, you will love it for sure. I've been in Kortrijk for exchange program twice. It was my first time when I was alone abroad without my family, staying in totally strangers house and first time trying to speak only in English.
After few days when I recommend to make this trip to my friend I started to thinking. Why I don't go to Kortrijk? I didn't see my friends 7 years and missed them so much all time. Then I started to think again and realise that Rotterdam is pretty close and it was on my wanted-to-see-places list for ages. After 5 years not answering to my exchange friend Beau to his last e-mail (sorry again ups), I spontaneously write him that maybe I really want to see him and go to Kortrijk. Beau answered me like 5 minutes after I send it. Yes! He want to see me too. Guys, you can guess, that sometimes my friends has really taught time with me :D I always overthink everything. So what was next? I booked ticket to Rotterdam and that was all. No other plans at all.
Rotterdam
This city completely stole my heart forever. It's the perfect mixture of urban style, art, culture and nature. Oh, I loved it so much there! I spend time walking around the city center, went to Museum of modern art, eat veggie hot dog with popcorn and it was pretty delicious. The most epic thing was visiting Victor&Rolf fashion exhibition. It was breathtaking.
Brussels
Due pretty heavy rain I didn't make it to the Kortijk, so I decided to go to Brussels. I was there twice with my exchange program, but why not to go there once again and after 7 years. As you maybe already know I'm the biggest fan of EU, so be in the capital city of EU went me just completely crazy :D Plus I had waffles with chocolate topping, belgian fries and my favorite cherry beer Krijk. Didn't do something special just chilling.
Kortrijk
Ok, that was most emotional few hours ever. I met my old friend Beau and we feel like nothing change, when everything change. We made old silly jokes, laughed and talking whole time. I had the best time ever and it was really hard to say my dear friend goodbye again.
I went back to Brussels, because I needed to catch my flight. I was calm, because I knew the airport is close to city center. But... of course I didn't check if is there another airport in Brussels and surprisingly it is. Luckily I was so tired that I didn't to start to freak out. Order an UBER. One hour left. Fortunately we made it on time and I came safety home. I don't know why my traveling always end up to be so crazy and weird. Somebody has it same? Write me comment bellow :)
