Horse riding around colorful Pena Palace

While I went on road trip around Portugal, my lovely friend Kath had birthday and I wanted to plan little surprise for her. Back home in Australia she has her own horse, so my first idea was to booked horse riding for her birthday somewhere. Since we were quite close to Sintra, I started to think again about my dream to go to beautiful Pena palace and realised that we can common these activities together.

The nature in Sintra park was just breathtaking. We walked up to the Pena Palace and just enjoyed the beautiful sightseeing. It was absolutely magical and thanks to rain there were not so much people. It was as much beautiful as I imagined before in my head.

Unfortunately it was too late for online booking the horse riding for Kath. In the office of Palace they told us that Kath can't go horse riding because of the bad weather. When we thought everything is lost - we were standing in front of the palace suddenly there appeared horse. After few minute we met his owner. We told with him a bit and in the end he offer Kath that she can walk the horse back through the park to the farm. It was absolutely magical! After we came back to the farm the stabler told Kath, that she can go horse riding for 20 minutes! It was great and the birthday celebration was saved :)
