Road trip to Portugal: finding best surf spots

Going to road trip is always good idea especially when it’s all about best surf spots in Portugal. Read more about the biggest and scariest waves in the world or tiny surf town with I fell in love forever.

Nazare
First stop of our road trip was famous city Nazare. It’s a place where you can watch the biggest waves in the world. The record is 30 metres high wave! We were lucky enough to be there on Big wave tour championship and watching best surfers killing waves. Definitely recommend this place.

Peniche
This tiny surf town just stole my heart and it's my favorite place in Portugal and maybe in whole world. There are many surf spots for everyone. If you want to learn how to surf I strongly recommend Escola de Surf de Penice, you can ask for teacher James. He is really into surfing, professional and kind. I came back to Peniche for second time only because of this awesome surf school. If you are looking for good accommodation, book White Guest House. Their breakfast are legendary and Maria is the kindness person ever.

Ericeira
My last favorite one is city very famous for surfing - Ericeira. Even if you don't surf you can watch breaking waves for hours, it's just magical. After good surf there is delicious healthy restaurant called Funky. Their brownie with ice-cream is just wow!
