How can piloting aircraft or swimming in 6°C water improve your life




Feeling stuck? Or just under the weather? Let’s try new activities and things you were scared of. Why? Because it literally changed my life massively and your can too. 


7 months of yes man challenge 
In September 2018 I started to feel stuck. I was desperately looking for happiness and new creative ideas. So I made early yearly resolution and told myself that I’m going to try new things, specially ones which scares me. 

I did bunch of things - started to surfing in winter, ballet class, went to Thailand with no knowledge about the culture, driving car in snow storm all alone (haven’t drive for 2 years) or taking hip hop class with my anti talent for dancing.

Scared of flying? Pilot the aircraft
One day I was driving car and my friend asked me: „hey, do you want to fly in my light aircraft? When you turned right here we can be there in 5 minutes.” Without thinking I immediately turned the car. We went to airport. I started to freaked out. Did I mention that I’m scared of flying? 😁. After shaking in the aircraft it was time to get off. Fuck. What I was thinking? We smoothly took off and everything seems just fine. My level of adrenaline went pretty high, specially when my friend told me: „Now I’m getting my hands off, so I guess you have to all the control of this plane.” Don’t know how, but I did it and the feeling that you’re kind of controlling your life above the sky was amazing. It also helped me a lot with my anxiety of flying.

No one wants to follow? Do it on your own
Few days ago I surprised my sis in Geneva with hiking trip. It was amazing experience. In the end I was talking with people from the hike about what I like to do. „I’m dying to swim in the lake. I know it’s almost freezing, but I love swimming so much.” „Why you don’t do it?” Ask me simply our guide Bjørn. „I don’t have swimming suits and people will stare at me weirdly, when they are all wearing coats and winter clothes.” All people from hiking group talk me that I have to give it try anyway don’t care about others. Last day one hour before our flight I sadly watch the clear water in the lake. Suddenly I start to get my clothes off. „Screw it, I’m gonna jump in.” And guess what - it was the best feeling ever! 


You can blame comfort zone for it
Truth to be told - you can find happiness in many different ways, but the instant and easiest way is to  start to say yes to activities you are scared of or don’t interest you so much. Because why not? You will not find happiness in you comfort zone. So let’s start with small step. Say yes to everything for 7 days. Then let me know how it was.
