We should all be feminist
Friday, 5 July 2019
He or she frown at me. I just said it again. I am a feminist. Ugh, is it still need to be a feminist in 21st century? Yes. Do you hate men? No. Here are the most reasons why we all (yes, men too) be a feminist.
We can stop the chain of judgement women
There is no need to judge how we were raised. We as girls should behave nice, be polite, don't argue, dress nicely, be quite, learn how to cook, work out, be on diet and finally get married the most successful boy in town and spend whole life taking care of the family. Now everything change. Women are successful entrepreneurs, want sex for one night only, can code, are lesbians, are not interest in sex, wants to live abroad whatever they want for themself is right. Yes. Our World is changing so please don't judge women next time. Stop using terms like: slut, too girly, beautiful, doesn't have a ball etc.
We can show girls that they can be what they want
When I was a kid I love tech. I was coding, building computers and gaming all the time. I went to tech high school, but I decided to study film and TV creating, because it was more for girls. Maybe if someone will show me how many awesome things I can achieve as a programmer I will continue this path. Funny note - once I ended up in tech start up full of men. It's really challenge to be only one women in the group and trying to convince them that you're masculine enough.
We can create sisterhood
Is there anyone who has never heard of gentlemen clubs? What about the clubs for women? To be honest women use to compare and compete each other. Now it's time to realise that we can lift, support each other and grow together. I'm grateful that in Prague we have group of female badass Femme Palette, who are supporting each other. If you want to know more, visit their website. Everything is in English. There are plenty of great gals, you can find mentors, do networking or finding new friends.
Are you feminist? What do you think about women status these days? Let me know in comments.
